(The opening starts with Chuck E. dancing for his friends outside his house.)
- Helen, Munch, Jasper, and Pasqually: (chanting:) Go, Chuck E.! Go, Chuck E.! Go, Chuck E.! Go, Chuck E.! Go, go, go, go!
(They cheer as Chuck E. finishes dancing.)
- Chuck E.: How was that?
- Helen: Oh, Chuck E., that was the most amazing dance I've ever seen!
- Pasqually: Yeah, even better than my polka dance! I'm not jealous! Heeheeheehee!
(Chuck E. giggles then faces the viewer.)
- Chuck E.: Oh, hey there! Check it out! I've been showing off my new dance moves!
(He dances for the viewer.)
- Chuck E.: And speaking of dance moves, we're gonna have a fun day of dancing today!
- Munch: Yeah, and Charlie and his classmates are gonna join us!
- Jasper: At least once the bus arrives and they get dropped off.
(The school bus honks.)
- Helen: Hey, look! There's the bus!
(The bus pulls up alongside the sidewalk to let off Charlie and his friends: Matt, Brandon, Katie, Tiffany, Megan, William, Jacob, Sophie, David, and Abby.)
- Chuck E.: And here comes Charlie and the kids!
- Charlie: Hi, Chuck E.!
- Kids: Hi, Chuck E.!/We're here!
(They all run up to Chuck E. cheering and give him a hug.)
- Chuck E.: Hey, hi, everyone! What's up?
- Charlie: Chuck E., you're not gonna believe what we just did today in gym class. We learned lots of different dances!
- Helen: What kind of dances?
- Charlie: Like the two-step!
- William: And disco!
- Katie: And a jitterbug!
- Megan: And the mambo!
- Sophie: And the rumba!
- David: And the Cabbage Patch, too!
- Jasper: Ooh, those are some neat dances!
- Chuck E.: Well, that was a really great thing you did in gym today. I love dancing! Me and my friends were just trying out some dance moves of our own.
- Munch: And today is our big day of dancing!
- Pasqually: We're gonna show you how to dance in all kinds of different ways!
- Chuck E.: So what do you say? Are you ready to dance with us?
- Kids: YEAH!!!!
- Chuck E.: Alright! Let's hit it!
(Music to "Let's Dance" starts; they all gather up on the grass.)
- Chuck E.: Okay, everybody! It's time to get up on your feet and move and groove to the dancing beat! Heh-heh-heh!
(They all dance freestyle.)
- Chuck E.: Let's dance, dancing's really neat
- Let's dance, moving to the beat
- Let's dance, get up and jump around
- Dancin' and a-groovin' 'til the sun goes down
- Chuck E. and the kids: Let's dance, (Let's dance) dancing's really neat
- Let's dance, (Let's dance) moving to the beat
- Let's dance, (Let's dance) get up and jump around
- Dancin' and a-groovin' 'til the sun goes down
- Chuck E.: First you feel the rhythm in your little toe
- You start to move around, and before you know
- You're clapping your hands and you're moving your feet
- And everyone is dancing to the happy beat
- Chuck E. and the kids: Let's dance, (Let's dance) dancing's really neat
- Let's dance, (Let's dance) moving to the beat
- Let's dance, (Let's dance) get up and jump around
- Dancin' and a-groovin' 'til the sun goes down
- Chuck E.: When you dance, it doesn't matter what you do
- You can do the two-step or the Boogaloo
- Twistin', tappin', stompin, jumpin', it's ALL good!
- Dancing all around your neighborhood!
- Chuck E. and the kids: Let's dance, (Let's dance) dancing's really neat
- Let's dance, (Let's dance) moving to the beat
- Let's dance, (Let's dance) get up and jump around
- Dancin' and a-groovin' 'til the sun goes down
- Chuck E.: When the music starts playing, you just gotta dance
- Get out there on the floor, and take a chance
- When your friends join in, it's a lot of fun!
- Hurry up and dance before the song is done!
- All: Let's dance, (Let's dance) dancing's really neat
- Let's dance, (Let's dance) moving to the beat
- Let's dance, (Let's dance) get up and jump around (Now!)
- Dancin' and a-groovin' 'til the sun goes down

- We're dancin' and a-groovin' 'til the sun goes down
- Chuck E.: Dowwwwwwwwwn...!
- Oh, yeah!
(Song ends; they all cheer.)
- Jasper: All right!
- Chuck E.: Great dancing, everybody! I love your moves!
- Charlie: You danced great, too, Chuck E., your moves are amazing!
- Chuck E.: Aw, thanks!
- Helen: Hey, kids. If you think that dance was fun, wait until you see the many dances we know and love!
- Tiffany: Really? Can you show us?
- Jasper: We'll be glad to, Tiffany! There's a lot of dancing ahead of us!
- Chuck E.: Come on, everyone!
(They all cheer and walk down the block before stopping at a plaza.)
- Katie: Hey, Chuck E.? Wanna know why I love dancing so much? Because it's so good for me, and it gives me great exercise.
- Chuck E.: That's right, Katie. Dancing is an important part of staying healthy and keeping your body in good shape.
- Munch: And it really helps you get around! Especially when you need to work off a lot of that pizza.
- All others: Oh, Munch! (they laugh)
- Pasqually: But before we get to those really big dances, I would say we do something nice and simple to warm up.
- Charlie: Warm up?
- Chuck E.: When you warm up, you get your body ready to do something big by stretching and bending or twisting of some sorts.
- Helen: Hey, let's do a stretch-and-point dance to get us all warmed up. It's called "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes".
- Jasper: I love this dance!
- Chuck E.: Great idea, Helen! And this dance will really help us know our bodies before we move them! Come on!
(They cheer; music to "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" starts.)
- Chuck E.: All right, everybody! Here's a dance that's all about body parts. If you don't know what to do, just follow me, okay? Here we go!
- All: Head, shoulders, knees and toes,
- Knees and toes.
- Head, shoulders, knees and toes,
- Knees and toes.
- Eyes and ears and mouth and nose
- Head, shoulders, knees and toes,
- Knees and toes!
- Chuck E.: All right! Way to go! Okay, now let's do something different; let's go from bottom to top! Be sure to follow me, okay?
- All: Feet, tummy, arms and chin,
- Arms and chin.
- Feet, tummy, arms and chin,
- Arms and chin.
- Forehead and neck and cheeks and shins.
- Feet, tummy, arms and chin,
- Arms and chin!
- Chuck E.: Wow, that was awesome! Now for something even more different! Time to mix it all up here! Ready?
- All: Hands, fingers, thighs and lips,
- Thighs and lips.
- Hands, fingers, thighs and lips,
- Thighs and lips.
- Elbows and chest and back and hips.
- Hands, fingers, thighs and lips,
- Thighs and lips!
- Chuck E.: Oh, boy! You really got to know your body that time! Now let's do the first part again! Come on!
- All: Head, shoulders, knees and toes,
- Knees and toes.
- Head, shoulders, knees and toes,
- Knees and toes.
- Eyes and ears and mouth and nose
- Head, shoulders, knees and toes,
- Knees and toes!
- Chuck E.: One more time, here we go!
- All: Head, shoulders, knees and toes,
- Knees and toes.
- Head, shoulders, knees and toes,
- Knees and toes.
- Eyes and ears and mouth and nose
- Head, shoulders, knees and toes,
- Knees and toes!
(Song ends as they cheer.)
- Chuck E.: Way to go, everybody! It sure was fun getting to know our bodies and stretching!
- Brandon: I loved the "Head and Shoulders" dance. We did that at school to warm up, too.
- Helen: Well, we're glad that we've all warmed up for dance day! Now, which dance should we try out first?
- Jasper: Ooh, I know! Let's do a line dance! We used to do them back where I came from!
- Megan: What's a line dance?
- Jasper: Well, it's when we all get in a line and dance in unison. Heck, I once won a line dance competition back in '94!
- Kids: Oooooooh!
- Megan: Do you know a country line dance you can show us?
- Jasper: Sure do, Megan! And I want all of you to join in!
- Chuck E.: Hope I still got the feet for it...
- Jasper: You bet you will, Chuckster. And I want all of you at home to dance, too! Just follow along with me. Everybody ready?!
(They all cheer; cuts to a barnhouse where they all line up dressed as cowpokes. Music to "Boot Scootin' Boogie" starts, they all line dance with Jasper leading.)
- Jasper: Out in the country past the city limits sign
- Where there's a pizza truck near the County line
- The place starts jumpin' every night when the sun goes down
- They got pizza and sodas, music, and jokes
- It's where all the cowboy folk go to boot scootin' boogie
- I've got a good job, I work hard for my money
- When it's quittin' time, I hit the door runnin'
- I fire up my pickup truck and let the horses run
- I go flyin' down that highway to that hide a way
- Stuck out in the woods to do the boot scootin' boogie
- All: Yeah, heel-toe, do-si-do, come on, baby, let's go, boot scootin
- Oh, Cadillac, Black Jack, baby meet me outback we're gonna boogie
- Oh, get down, turn around, go to town, boot scootin' boogie
- Jasper: Oh, yeah! That's some good line dancin' there, partner! Keep it up!
- Munch: I'm a line dancing machine!
- Jasper: Pasqually asks me, says, "Son what'll it be?"
- I want a lemonade, maybe two or three
- The dance floor's hoppin', and it's hotter than the Fourth of July
- I see outlaws, in-laws, crooks and straights
- All out makin' it shake, doin' the boot scootin' boogie
- All: Yeah, heel-toe, do-si-do, come on, baby, let's go, boot scootin
- Oh, Cadillac, Black Jack, baby meet me outback we're gonna boogie
- Oh, get down, turn around, go to town, boot scootin' boogie
- Oh, heel-toe, do-si-do, come on, baby, let's go, boot scootin
- Yeah, Cadillac, Black Jack, baby meet me outback we're gonna boogie
- Yeah, get down, turn around, go to town, boot scootin' boogie
- I say get down, turn around, go to town, boot scootin' boogie
- I said, get down, turn around, go to town, boot scootin' boogie
(Song ends; they cheer.)
- Jasper: Nice line dancin', everyone! You remind me of the contest I once entered!
- Abby: It was hard, but I did my best.
- Helen: Glad you did, Abby. It's fun to follow along if you're new to dancing.
- Jacob: I was hard at line dancing, too. This is probably the first line dance I ever did.
- Chuck E.: We understand, Jacob. How about a dance that everyone knows?
- Tiffany: Hey, how about the Mashed Potato? We did that in school today.
- Munch: Did you just say "mashed potato", Tiffany? I love mashed potatoes!
(They all laugh.)
- Chuck E.: Oh, Munch...! Not that kind of mashed potato!
- Helen: The mashed potato was a dance that was popular in the '60s. You just shuffle your feet and kick your legs like this.
(She does the Mashed Potato dance; they all voice astounded comments.)
- Jasper: Now that's a dance we can really get into!
- Pasqually: Oh, Miss Helen, please show us how to dance like that!
- Helen: I'll be happy to! Come on, kids at home! Dance the Mashed Potato with us!
(They all cheer; they stop in front of a farmer's market wearing '60s casual clothing. Music to "Mashed Potato Time" starts; Helen leads.)
- Helen: The Mashed Potato started long time ago
- With a guy named Sloppy Joe
- You’ll find this dance is a-cool to do
- C’mon baby, gonna teach it to you
- All but Helen: Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Feel it in your feet now
- All but Helen: Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Come on, get the beat now
- All: It's the latest, it's the greatest
- Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: And then this dance just a-grew and grew
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: They looked for records they could do it to
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: They found this dance was a-out of sight
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: Doin' “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”
- Mashed Potato!
- Chuck E. and Jasper: A-weema-weh, a-weema-weh
- All but Helen: Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- All: It's the latest, it's the greatest
- Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- Chuck E.: All right, kids! We're doin' the Mashed Potato! You're lookin' good out there!
- Pasqually: I'm a-mashin' up a storm!
- Munch: Let your feet fly! Come on, Miss Helen!
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: Now everybody is a-doin’ fine
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: They dance along, form a big boss line
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: And they discovered it’s the most, man
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: The day they did it to “Please, Mr. Postman”
- All but Helen: Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Wait a minute, wait a minute
- All but Helen: Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Deliver the letter
- All: It's the latest, it's the greatest
- Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: Well they got with it more and more
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: You ought to see them crowd the floor
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: The Mashed Potato took a long, long list
- All but Helen: (Wah ooh...)
- Helen: They even do it to dear lady twist
- All but Helen: Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Get up off your chair, now
- All but Helen: Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- All: It's the latest, it's the greatest
- Mashed Potato!
- Helen: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- All: Mashed Potato!
- Yeah, yeah, yeah!
(Song ends. They all cheer.)
- Munch: Wow! It was fun dancing the Mashed Potato more than eating mashed potatoes! Speaking of which, I'm getting hungry.
- Matt: I have some fresh potatoes right here.
- Munch: Why, thank you, Matt! And there's enough for everyone!
(They all voice pleased comments and get a potato.)
- Chuck E.: Okay, guys, after we have our potatoes, what type of dance should we try next?
- Pasqually: Disco!
- All others: Disco?!
- Pasqually: Yeah! Disco was a famous dance invented in the '70s! Around the decade when Chuck E. Cheese's first opened! William, Jacob, will you back me up?
(He demonstrates his disco moves with William and Jacob following.)
- Pasqually: Aw, yeah! Stick it to the man! Ah, sticky-sticky-sticky...BOOM!
(All voice cries of "Wow!" and "No way!".)
- Helen: That was great disco, Pasqually!
- Pasqually: Yeah, dudes and dudettes! Disco is my dream!
- Chuck E.: Well, as they would say back then...cool beans!
(They all laugh.)
- Jasper: I know a place where we can dance! It's right over there! Come on, let's get groovy!
- Munch: Yeah! After that potato, I'm ready to disco, too!
- Chuck E.: Come on, kids! And you, too! This way!
(He leads them off; changes to a dance club where a disco ball is spinning and patrons are on the dance floor. Chuck E. and the gang enter dressed in '70s disco gear. Music to "Night Fever" starts.)
- Chuck E.: All right, everybody! Let's bust our disco moves!
- Pasqually: Let's boogie!
(They all disco dance.)
- Chuck E.: Listen to the ground
- There is movement all around
- There is something goin' down
- And I can feel it
- On the waves of the air
- There is dancin' out there
- It's somethin' we can't share
- We can't steal it
- Munch, Jasper, and Pasqually: That sweet city woman
- She moved through the light
- Controlling my mind and my soul
- Chuck E.: When you reach out for me, yeah
- And the feelin' is right
- All: Then I get night fever, night fever
- We know how to do it
- Gimme that night fever, night fever
- We know how to show it
- Chuck E.: Here I am
- Prayin' for this moment to last
- Livin' on the music so fine
- Borne on the wind
- Makin' it mine
- All: Night fever, night fever
- We know how to do it
- Gimme that night fever, night fever
- We know how to show it
- Chuck E.: In the heat of our love
- Don't need no help for us to make it
- Gimme just enough
- To take us to the mornin'
- I got fire in my mind
- I get higher in my walkin'
- And I'm glowin' in the dark
- Give you warnin'
- Munch, Jasper, Pasqually, and the kids: That sweet city woman
- She moved through the light
- Controlling my mind and my soul
- Chuck E.: When you reach out for me, yeah
- And the feelin' is right
- All: Night fever, night fever
- We know how to do it
- Gimme that night fever, night fever
- We know how to show it
- Chuck E.: Here I am
- Prayin' for this moment to last
- Livin' on the music so fine
- Borne on the wind
- Makin' it mine
- All: Night fever, night fever
- We know how to do it
- Gimme that night fever, night fever
- We know how to show it
- Gimme that night fever, night fever
- We know how to do it
- Gimme that night fever, night fever
- We know how to show it
- Night fever, night fever!
(Song ends. Some time later, they are lounging at the tables and chatting.)
- David: Man, that was groovy! I love disco dancing!
- William: You really burned up the floor, David.
- Matt: Not as burned up as my dancing, William!
- Pasqually: Well, Matt, I believe I am the disco king here. Peace out!
- Chuck E.: All right, all right! Let's not argue over who the better dancer is, here!
- Pasqually: Sorry, got too excited.
- Munch: Does anyone else have a dance they'd like to talk about?
- Megan: I do!
- Chuck E.: Okay, Megan, share it with us!
- Megan: Well, my mother's grandmother ails from New Mexico, and I take Mexican dances on the weekends. How about we do a Mexican dance together, like the Mambo, or the Samba, or the Salsa...
- Helen: Those are really great dances, Megan! And we can do a conga line, too!
- Chuck E.: Yeah! Come on, kids! I say we have a Mexican dancing marathon! Vamos a bailar!
(They all cheer; changes to them dressed in Mexican attire and doing various Latin-inspired dances outside a Mexican café. Music to "La Bamba" starts.)
- Chuck E.: Para bailar La Bamba
- Para bailar La Bamba
- Se necesita una poca de gracia
- Una poca de gracia
- Pa' mí, pa' ti, ay arriba, ay arriba
- Y arriba, y arriba
- Por ti seré, por ti seré, por ti seré
- Yo no soy marinero
- Yo no soy marinero, soy capitán
- Soy capitán, soy capitán
- All: Bamba, bamba
- Bamba, bamba
- Bamba, bamba, bam
- Chuck E.: Para bailar La Bamba
- Para bailar La Bamba
- Se necesita una poca de gracia
- Una poca de gracia
- Pa' mí, pa' ti, ay arriba, ay arriba
- Chuck E.: Todos juntos!
- Jasper: Muncho gusto!
- Pasqually: Muy caliente!
- Helen: Mas suave!
- Munch: Ay ay ay!
- Chuck E.: (does grito)

- All: Bamba, bamba
- Bamba, bamba
- Bamba, bamba
- Ole!
(Song ends. Changes to them resting afterwards.)
- Helen: That was great! I love learning dances from Mexico, Megan. Thank you for suggesting this.
- Megan: You're welcome!
- Jasper: I guess we deserve to siesta after all that.
(All laugh.)
- Chuck E.: Siesta... 'cause its Spanish for rest?... Get it!
- Munch: Well, all that Mexican dancing has made me hungry for all this Mexican food. And man, was it caliente or what?
- Jasper: More like, es muy dificul if you ask me!
- Sophie: Hey! Let's do another '60s dance! I've got one we can do!
- Pasqually: Ooh! What did you have in mind, Sophie?
- Sophie: Well, I have an interest in trains, so I was thinking we do a train dance to a song that's all about trains!
- Abby: You mean the loco-motion? I love that song!
- Chuck E.: Yeah! Abby, Sophie, that's an awesome idea! Let's all be like trains and do the loco-motion!
- Jasper: (imitates static) Ladies and gentlemen, this is train conductor Jasper speaking. The Chuck E. Cheese Train is about to leave the station. ALL ABOARD!!!
(They all laugh and cheer; changes to a junction where various trains are parked. Chuck E. and the gang arrive dressed like train engineers; music to "The Loco-Motion" starts.)
- Chuck E.: Everybody's doing a brand new dance now
- All others: Come on, baby, do the loco-motion
- Chuck E.: I know you'll get to like it if you give it a chance now
- All others: Come on, baby, do the loco-motion
- Chuck E.: My little baby sister can do it with ease (Ooooh, wah-oooh...)
- It's easier than learning your ABC's (Ooooh, wah-oooh...)
- All: So come on, come on
- Chuck E.: Do the loco-motion with me (Dooooo...)
- You gotta swing your hips now (Wah-oooh...)
- Come on, baby

- Well, I think you've got the knack, whoa, whoa (Wah-oooh...)
- Now that you can do it, let's make a chain now
- All others: Come on, baby, do the loco-motion
- Chuck E.: A chugga-chugga motion like a railroad train now
- All others: Come on, baby, do the loco-motion
- Chuck E.: Do it nice and easy now, don't lose control
- A little bit of rhythm and a lotta soul
- All: Come on, come on
- Chuck E.: Do the loco-motion with me (Dooooo...)
- Charlie: I'm doing the loco-motion!
- Chuck E.: Oh, yeah! You really look like a train, now!
- Helen: Just call me Helen Hennytrain! (giggles)
- Chuck E.: Yay, yay, yay, yeah
- Move around the floor in a loco-motion
- All others: Come on, baby, do the loco-motion
- Chuck E.: Do it holding hands if you do get the notion
- All others: Come on, baby, do the loco-motion
- Chuck E.: There's never been a dance that's so easy to do (Ooooh, wah-oooh...)
- It even makes you happy when you're feeling blue (Ooooh, wah-oooh...)
- All: So come on, come on
- Chuck E.: Do the loco-motion with me (Dooooo...)
- You gotta swing your hips now (Come on, do the loco-motion)
- Come on, baby (Come on, do the loco-motion)
- Jump up, (Come on) jump back (do the loco-motion)
- Well, I think (Come on) you've got (do the loco-motion) the knack, whoa, whoa
- Now that you can do it, let's make a chain now
- All others: Come on, baby, do the loco-motion
- Chuck E.: A chugga-chugga motion like a railroad train now
- All others: Come on, baby, do the loco-motion
- Chuck E.: Do it nice and easy now, don't lose control

- All: Come on, come on
- Chuck E.: Do the loco-motion (Dooooo...)
- All: Come on, come on
- Chuck E.: Do the loco-motion with me (Dooooo...)
(They finish their dance and cheer as the whistle on the train behind them sounds off. Changes to the train chugging down the railroad and cuts to the gang inside one of the cars laughing amongst themselves.)
- Chuck E.: Man, that was great! The loco-motion! We should do this dance at my place sometime.
- Pasqually: Hey, everybody! I've got a train joke to tell!
- Jasper: Oh, boy...
- Charlie: I love your jokes, Pasqually! Tell us, tell us!
- Pasqually: Here it is: What do you call a haunted train car?
(They voice confused comments.)
- Chuck E.: I give up, Pasqually! What do you call a haunted train car?
- Pasqually: A ca-BOOse! Get it? Boo?
(They all laugh except for Jasper.)
- Jasper: Yeah, funny. Ha ha ha ha ha.
- Matt: Jasper, be nice!
- David: What dance are we gonna do once we reach downtown?
- Tiffany: How about the Peppermint Twist? It's another great '60s dance, they used to do it at concerts and school dances at the time.
- Helen: Wow, Tiffany! That sounds like a fun dance!
- Munch: Yeah! I do love peppermints!
- Jasper: And I like doing the twist!
- Pasqually: So it's a dance about twisting peppermints? Or a dance about the candy called peppermint twist?
(They all laugh.)
- Charlie: No, not like that! It's kind of like the twist, but different.
- Helen: We'll show you once we stop.
(Sure enough...)
- Brandon: Hey, guys! The train's stopping! That looks like a great spot to do the Peppermint Twist!
- Chuck E.: Oh, thanks for reminding me, Brandon! Come on, let's all Peppermint Twist together!
(They all cheer and exit the train; changes to a busy street with shops as they all rush in wearing '60s dance clothes. Music to "Peppermint Twist" starts as they all dance and start a flash mob of passers who join them.)
- Chuck E.: Well, they've got a new dance and it goes like this
- All others: Ba shooba boppa boppa shooba
- Helen: Yeah, the name of the dance is Peppermint Twist
- All others: Ba shooba boppa boppa shooba
- Munch: Well you like it like this, the Peppermint Twist
- All others: Ba shooba boppa boppa shooba

- Jasper: Yeah! Check out these moves!
- Munch: Get down, get groovy! Aw, that's it!
- Jasper: Well, meet me baby down at 45th street

- All others: Ba shooba boppa boppa shooba
- Chuck E.: You'll learn to do this, the Peppermint Twist
- All others: Ba shooba boppa boppa shooba
(Song ends as everyone laughs and disperses. Some time later, they are relaxing at an intersection.)
- Helen: You know, Chuck E., if there's anyone I'd rather dance the Peppermint Twist with, it would always be you.
- Chuck E.: Aw... (chuckles) Thanks, Helen! I like dancing with you, too!
- Brandon: (to Katie) Thise two are made for each other. (giggles)
- Charlie: Hey, Chuck E.? We've did a lot of fun dances so far, but can we try one from an earlier decade? Like, the '50s?
- Chuck E.: Yeah! The '50s were full of great dances! They used to have special parties known as sock hops.
- Helen: They wore clothes like leather jackets and poodle skirts! I like those, they have cute poodles on them!
- Munch: And you were allowed to wear your socks on the dance floor! That must be how they got their name.
- William: Can we have our own sock hop?
- Jacob: Yeah! There's a '50s themed diner just a few blocks over!
- Katie: I have always wanted to dance like I was in the '50s! Please, Chuck E.?
- Chuck E.: (giggles) Why, sure we can! Munch, can you show us the way?
- Munch: You've got it, Chuck! This way, everyone!
(They all cheer and follow after Munch. Music to "At the Hop" starts; only Chuck E. stays behind to invite the viewer.)
- Chuck E.: Come on! Let's go to the hop!
(He hurries to catch up; changes to the '50's themed diner; it is starting to get dark. Everyone rushes up dressed in '50s clothes like leather jackets, polka dot dresses, poodle skirts, sneakers with socks, and so forth. They all dance.)
- All: Bah-bah-bah-bah...
- Bah-bah-bah-bah...

- AT THE HOP!
(Song ends; everyone at the diner cheers them. Cuts to inside the diner where they're all being served their dinner.)
- Jasper: Nothin' but some ginchy refreshments to work off all that energy, huh?
- Helen: Yeah! The only thing as good as a '50s sock hop is a '50s dinner!
- Matt: Hey, Chuck E.? Did you know that the best music of the '50s was rock and roll?
- Chuck E.: Heh-heh... it sure was, Matt! There were a lot of singers from the '50s who did rock and roll!
- Brandon: I didn't know they were from that time!
- Pasqually: I'm mostly into Italian music, but rock and roll is really in my blood!
- Munch: And speaking of rock and roll, what do you say we dance to a rock and roll song? I've still got the feet for it!
(They all voice cheers of approval.)
- Jasper: Let's do it! Pasqually, count us off!
- Pasqually: One! Two!
(Music to "Rock Around the Clock" starts; they gather in the middle of the diner.)
- Munch: One, two, three o'clock, four o'clock, rock
- Munch and Helen: Five, six, seven o'clock, eight o'clock, rock
- Munch, Helen, and Jasper: Nine, ten, eleven o'clock, twelve o'clock, rock
- All: We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
- Chuck E.: Put your glad rags on and join me, hon
- We'll have some fun when the clock strikes one
- We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
- We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til the broad daylight
- We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight
- Jasper: When the clock strikes two, three and four
- If the band slows down we'll yell for more
- We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
- We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til the broad daylight
- We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight
(Brief guitar lick from Jasper.)
- Chuck E.: You rock, you hound dog, you!
- Jasper: Slide me some skin, Daddy-O!
- Pasqually: When the chimes ring five, six and seven
- We'll be right in seventh heaven
- Helen: We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
- Chuck E.: We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til the broad daylight
- Chuck E. and Helen: We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight
- Kids: When it's eight, nine, ten, eleven too
- I'll be goin' strong and so will you
- Chuck E. and the kids: We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
- We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til the broad daylight
- We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight
- Chuck E.: Kick it, Pasqually!
(Pasqually does a saxophone solo.)
- Chuck E., Helen, and the boys: When the clock strikes twelve, we'll cool off then
- Munch, Jasper, Pasqually, and the girls: Start a rockin' round the clock again
- All: We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
- We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til the broad daylight
- We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight
(Song ends and they all cheer. Changes to out on another street somewhere. Chuck E. and the gang come walking and laughing; they are back in their normal clothes. By now it is getting dark.)
- Charlie: Boy, I sure loved all those dances, Chuck E.! Thank you for teaching us!
- Chuck E.: You're welcome, Charlie. It was worth it to dance in gym class before dancing with us!
- Abby: I really enjoyed Jasper's line dancing, and the loco-motion, too!
- Megan: The Mexican dancing was my favorite!
- Pasqually: I've gotta really dig the Mashed Potato!
- William: I dig the disco!
- Sophie: I loved the loco-motion and the Peppermint Twist!
- Helen: And the '50s dancing was really hot!
- Brandon: Better not forget the rock and roll, cats!
- Munch: Well, the night is still young, so... what should we do now?
(They stop just outside Chuck E. Cheese's; loud music is coming from inside.)
- Chuck E.: Hey, something fun's goin' on at my place! Come on, let's check it out!
(They all chatter excitedly and follow him. They enter and gasp; the whole restaurant is decorated with balloons, banners, streamers, a disco ball hanging from the ceiling, etc. Various families are dancing all around the place.)
- Charlie: Look, Chuck E.! It's a dance party! And they're doing all the dances we've learned!
- Helen: I think Larry must have thrown it to say thank you for the day of dancing!
- Munch: Now this is something we can really let our feet move to!
- Pasqually: The night's not over yet! What do you say we all boogie!!??
- Kids: YEAH!!!!
- Chuck E.: Well then, what are we waiting for?! LET'S DANCE!!!!!
(They all cheer; music to "Get On Your Feet" starts as the disco ball overhead shimmers bright. The whole gang gathers up in the center of the restaurant just before the MMBB stage, cleared the way to give them room while they all dance. Their guests dance along.)
- Chuck E.: You say I know it's a waste of time, there's no use trying
- So scared, that life's gonna pass you by, your spirit dying
- Not long ago, I could feel your strength and your devotion
- What was so clear is now overcast
- With mixed emotions
- Deep in your heart is the answer
- Find it, I know it will pull you through
- All: Get on your feet
- Chuck E.: Get up and make it happen
- All: Get on your feet
- Chuck E.: Stand up and take some action
- Jasper: Hey!
- Chuck E.: All right, take it, Helen!
- Helen: I think it's true that we've all been through some nasty weather
- Let's understand that we're here to handle things together
- You gotta keep looking onto tomorrow
- There's so much in life that's meant for you
- All: Get on your feet
- Chuck E.: Get up and make it happen
- All: Get on your feet
- Jasper: Yeah!
- Chuck E.: Stand up and take some action
- All: Get on your feet
- Chuck E.: Oh, yeah!
- Don't stop before it's over
- All: Get on your feet
- Chuck E.: The weight is off your shoulder
(The music changes; everyone forms a circle around the floor.)
- Chuck E.: All right! Now this is the breakdown part of the song! I want you to jump in the circle and show us your moves! And we'll chant for you! You can dance, too! And chant with us! Here we go!
(One by one the kids jump in the circle in pairs and show their moves.)

- Chuck E.: Get up and make it happen
- Jasper, Munch, and Helen: Oh-oh-wey-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-wey-oh
- Chuck E.: Stand up, stand up, stand up and take some action
- Gotta get on your feet, yeah, yeah
- Don't stop before it's over
- All: Get on your feet
- Chuck E.: The weight is off your shoulder

(They all voice happy comments and dance some more.)
- All: Get on your feet
- Chuck E.: Get up, get up, get up and make it happen
- All: Get on your feet
- Chuck E.: Stand up and take some action
- Helen: We hope to see you again real soon, and maybe we'll dance again!
- Chuck E.: See you next time, everyone! Keep on dancing!
- All: Bye!/Goodbye!
(They all continue dancing and cheer; pans away from them.)
- All: Get on your feet
- Chuck E.: Stand up and take some action
(Song ends and the camera continues panning up and stops on the disco ball shimmering overhead, the show ends.)
(End credits.)
