- Helen: Munch is right! There's lots of fun things we can do in here!
- Chuck E.: Yeah! I know, how about we play Chuck E. Says?
(All others voice approving comments.)
- Chuck E.: Okay, the rule of this game is to do what I say, but only when I say "Chuck E. says."
- Helen: That means you have to listen real closely.
- Chuck E.: But remember, if I don't say "Chuck E. says"...
- Jasper: That means it's a trick and you can't move. Got it?
- All others: Got it!
(Music to "Chuck E. Says" starts.)
Chuck E.: We're gonna play a game of Chuck E. Says

- Munch: Hey, Chuck E., do you still have that old model train set down in the basement?
- Sophie: A model train set?! Chuck E., can we play with it?!
- Chuck E.: Sure! Maybe we can play with it while we wait for the rain to stop. Come on!
(All chatter excitedly and follow him offscreen; changes to the basement with everyone standing around a table with the model train set on it in motion. Music to "Down By the Station" starts as they operate the toy trains.)
Chuck E.: Down by the station early in the morning
See the little pufferbillies all in a row
Chuck E. and the kids: See the stationmaster turn the little handle
Puff-puff, choo-choo, off they go
(Changes to "I've Been Working on the Railroad".)
Munch: I've been working on the railroad
All the live-long day
I've been working on the railroad
Just to pass the time away
Munch and the kids: Don't you hear the whistle blowing,
Rise up so early in the morn;
Can't you hear the captain shouting,
"Dinah, blow your horn!"
(Train whistle blows)
All: Dinah, won't you blow,
Dinah, won't you blow,
Dinah, won't you blow your horn?
Dinah, won't you blow,
Dinah, won't you blow,

Strummin' on the old banjo
Munch: And singin

Fee, fie, fiddly-i-o-o-o-o
Fee, fie, fiddly-i-o
Strummin' on the old banjo

- Chuck E.: Hey, look everybody! The rain stopped!
- Katie: All right! Now we can play outside again!
- Charlie: Hey, I know what we can do outside; why don't we ride our bikes?
- Helen: Good idea, Charlie. Bike rides are fun when it's sunny out. And they're good exercise, too.
- Chuck E.: Well, come on! Let's get some bikes from the garage and go riding!
(All cheer and follow him off; changes to them riding bikes down the street, wearing helmets for protection. Music to "Bicycle Built for Two" starts as they ride.)
All: Daisy, Daisy,
Give him your answer, do
He's half crazy,
All for the love of you
It won't be a stylish marriage,
He can't afford a carriage,
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two
- Pasqually: Hey, I've got a joke! Why did the bicycle take a nap?
- Charlie: I don't know, Pasqually.
- Pasqually: Because it was tire'd! Get it? Tire? Tired?
(All laugh except for Jasper.)
- Jasper: Oh, I get it, alright...
(The ride continues.)
All but Chuck E.: Chuck E., Chuck E.,
Give us your answer, do
We love riding
Do you love riding, too?
- Chuck E.: I sure do!
It's fun when we get together,
I want this to last forever
All: The roads go by with you and I
On a bicycle built for two
On a bicycle built for two
(Song ends and they return to Chuck E.'s house.)
- Helen: Now that sure was relaxing, wasn't it children?
(The kids voice happy comments.)
- Helen: But I really loved riding with Chuck E., he's the best friend I would ever ride bikes with!
- Chuck Oh.. (chuckles) Thanks, Helen. I like riding with you, too.
- Jasper: Hey, Chuck E.! Can we do another singing game?
- Chuck E.: What did you have in mind, Jasper?
- Jasper: Well, we did "London Bridge" and "If You're Happy", so how about that silly dance where you shake and spin and such?

And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about
That's what it's all about
That's... what... it's all... a...bout!
(Song ends and they laugh and giggle their loudest.)
- Charlie: That was funny...!
- Chuck E.: Great Hokey Pokey-ing, everybody!
(A beeping sound is heard; William looks at his watch.)
- William: Oh, my. It's getting late! Chuck E., we have to be getting home, soon!
(All groan.)
- Munch: Already?!
- Pasqually: But we were just getting started!
- Helen: Sorry, Pasqually, but the kids need to get home in time for dinner. Their parents are waiting for them.
- Munch: I'm getting hungry for dinner, too. What do we do, Chuck E.?
- Chuck E.: I know! Let's play one more game to help the kids get home; a marching game!
- Kids: YEAH!!!
- Sophie: I love the marching game!
- Katie: Me too! And my parents would love it when I march right to them.
- Chuck E.: Everybody line up! Next stop, home!
(All chatter and line up behind Chuck E.)
- Chuck E.: You march with us, too! Stand up! Now get ready...and...forward march!
(They all march in time down the sidewalk; music to "The Kids Go Marching In" starts.)
Chuck E.: Oh, when the kids go marching in
When the kids go marching in
All the families love to get together
When the kids go marching in
Chuck E., Helen, and the kids: Oh, when the band (When the band) begins to play (Begins to play)
Oh, when the band begins to play
All you children sing out loud now,
When the band begins to play
All: Oh, when our friends (When our friends) begin to dance (Begin to dance)
Oh, when our friends begin to dance
Come along and move your feet now
When our friends begin to dance
(Shows a montage of them marching down the sidewalks past the children's homes; one by one they stop by each house, then that kid runs up to their parents, get a hug, and wave goodbye.)
All: Oh, when the kids (When the kids) go marching home (Marching home)
When the kids go marching home
Now it's time for us to be going
When the kids go marching home
Oh, when the kids (When the kids) go marching home (Marching home)
When the kids go marching home
We hope you had fun playing with us
When the kids go marching home
(Charlie is the last to go home.)
- Charlie: Bye, Chuck E.! Thanks for letting me play with you!
- Chuck E.: Bye, Charlie! See you tomorrow!
(The door closes.)
- Chuck E.: Well, that's everyone.
- Helen: Guess it's time for us to go home now, too.
- Munch: I'm really hungry! When I get home, I'm gonna eat all the pizza Pasqually made!
- Pasqually: (giggles) Munch, you truly have a one-track mind!
(All laugh.)
- Chuck E.: I had a great time playing with all of you, how about you?
(They voice approving comments.)
- Chuck E.: And I especially loved playing with you! You made our playdate so much fun!
- All others: YEAH!
(They all march home.)
All: Oh, now it's time (Now it's time) for us to go (For us to go)
Now it's time for us to go
And so we say goodbye for now
'Cause it's time for us to go
- Chuck E.: See you next time, everyone! Goodbye!
- All: Bye!/Goodbye!
(They all march in a line heading for home. Song ends as they disappear into the distance, ending the show.)
(End credits.)
