Hello Chuck E. Cheese Wiki users, I wanted to put this blog post out to review the third 3 months of the CEC Wiki. Also I would just like to thank everyone who has contributed over the past 3 months, your work helps keep this wiki an amazing source and database for Chuck E. Cheese information.
Firstly, I want to review the goals that were set for the third quarter of 2024.
- Chuck E. Cheese Food Products - While I failed at adding this content in the second quarter of 2024, I still really want to add this content. Chuck E. Cheese has had a lot of food products produced over the years, but it isn't well documented. I want to add pages about them to show off these delicious CEC products from over the years.
- Arcade Games - Chuck E. Cheese's always has exclusive and modified arcade games featuring Chuck and the band that can be hard to find online. I want to find information about them so everyone can learn about their favorite arcade games.
- Merchandise - Along with arcade games, Chuck E. Cheese's has had tons of exclusive merchandize. From plushies to toys, party supplies, and more, Chuck E. has done it all. I want to document all of this so users can explore the vast history of CEC memorabilia.
Sadly, none of these previous established goals were completed. Chuck E. Cheese Food Products and Arcade Games were never started due to them being too much to take on, while Merchandise has some new plushies before being forgotten. While these goals were complete, this doesn't mean these things won't be added. I do want to work on these goals, however, my priorities for now are to start making animatronics again along with wiki policies.
If the goals weren't completed, then what was accomplished during the third quarter of 2024? Here's the top 10 things the CEC Wiki has worked on in the past 3 months.
- Animatronics - Animatronics continued to be added to the CEC Wiki! In total, As of this review, 3 animatronics have been added. This means that 60 animatronics have been finished, which is about 50% of all CEC animatronics.
- Stages - 2 new stages were added to the CEC Wiki! This isn't a lot but they fill out the last remaining stages missing.
- Songs/Showtapes - Showtapes got redone to make it easier to find showtapes. Along with this, over 100 new songs and showtapes were added to the wiki!
- Locations - Many new locations were added to the wiki, which lets people learn about specific Chuck E. Cheese's.
- Logos - Even more logos were added to the CEC Wiki! Logos are a key part of Chuck E. Cheese's, so it's great to finally have even more variants! Some logos also got updated to higher quality images.
- Removed Dated Content - Over the years, vandalism and page relocations have led to a large amount of unnecessary images and redirects being left on the wiki. During this quarter over 500 pieces of old and unneeded content was removed, helping clean up the wiki.
- ShowBiz Pizza Content - ShowBiz Pizza Content like their showtapes and songs. This is great because ShowBiz has a closely related history with Chuck E. Cheese's.
- Around the Store - More sections of Chuck E. Cheese's were added to the wiki.
- Store Décor - A lot more pieces store décor were added to the wiki, including more recent pieces like Trampoline Zone décor.
- Wiki Updates - The wiki got a totally redone home page using templates instead of galleries. This also lead to new community feature being added like featured articles, did you know?, and social media.
These were just the main 10 things worked on by the Chuck E. Cheese Wiki during the third quarter of 2024. This quarter added so much new content, while also updated older content. Now it's time to list some new goals for the fourth and final quarter of 2024.
- Chuck E. Cheese Advertisements - I want to create a page that has every Chuck E. Cheese's advertisement ever created. The page will be separated into multiple sections for video, digital, and print advertisements.
- CEC Related Companies - Companies like Pasqually's Pizza & Wings are related to Chuck E. Cheese and should have some more representation on the CEC wiki. I want to add more about these companies' histories and relations to Chuck E. Cheese.
- Wiki Policies - I want to create more wiki policies covering more topics on the wiki. This will ensure that all content on the wiki will be in the best quality it can be in!
Overall, the third quarter of 2024 has been a moderate success for the Chuck E. Cheese Wiki, even if we didn't hit our goals. I just wanted to thank all of our contributors again for helping out in adding information to the Chuck E. Cheese Wiki, you guys are amazing at what you do! I also just wanted to shoutout all our discussions posters as you guys help find obscure information and brighten our days!
