Hello Chuck E. Cheese Wiki users, I wanted to put this blog post out to review the final 3 months of the CEC Wiki in 2024. Also I would just like to thank everyone who has contributed over the past 3 months, your work helps keep this wiki an amazing source and database for Chuck E. Cheese information.
Firstly, I want to review the goals that were set for the fourth quarter of 2024.
- Chuck E. Cheese Advertisements - I want to create a page that has every Chuck E. Cheese's advertisement ever created. The page will be separated into multiple sections for video, digital, and print advertisements.
- CEC Related Companies - Companies like Pasqually's Pizza & Wings are related to Chuck E. Cheese and should have some more representation on the CEC wiki. I want to add more about these companies' histories and relations to Chuck E. Cheese.
- Wiki Policies - I want to create more wiki policies covering more topics on the wiki. This will ensure that all content on the wiki will be in the best quality it can be in!
Sadly, none of these previous established goals were completed. Pages were created for Chuck E. Cheese Advertisements but all the content on them is just placeholders for now. CEC Related Companies got some small updates and Chico Cheese Pizza e Diversāo was redone, but no new restaurants were added. Only one new wiki policy, manual of style, was completed with the rest being left as placeholders. While these goals were complete, this doesn't mean these things won't be added. I do want to work on these goals, however, my priorities for now are to finally resume progress on animatronics and add some missing location-specific stages.
If the goals weren't completed, then what was accomplished during the fourth quarter of 2024? Here's the top 10 things the CEC Wiki has worked on in the past 3 months.
- Around the Store - More sections of Chuck E. Cheese's were added, including zones and play structures.
- Store Décor - A lot more pieces store décor were added to the wiki, including more recent pieces like 2015 store décor.
- Logos - Even more logos were added to the CEC Wiki! Logos are a key part of Chuck E. Cheese's, so it's great to finally have even more variants!
- Plush Toys - A lot more plushies were added to the wiki, including a lot of cancelled/unreleased plushies.
- Categories - A lot of remaining unused categories were removed and the content inside a lot categories was updated.
- Songs/Showtapes - Tons of new songs and transcripts were added! Along with this, several international showtapes were added to the wiki!
- Stages - While no new stages were added, stages continued to receive updates in alignment with 2.0 remodels.
- Removed Dated Content - Over the years, vandalism and page relocations have led to a large amount of unnecessary images and redirects being left on the wiki. During this quarter over 200 pieces of old and unneeded content was removed, helping clean up the wiki.
- Seasonal Events - Seasonal events like Halloween and Christmas were hosted on the wiki, with Halloween being the first seasonal event since August 1st!
- Wiki Updates - The wiki's header received some small changes along with the introduction of notices like news, notice, and warning.
These were just the main 10 things worked on by the Chuck E. Cheese Wiki during the fourth quarter of 2024. This quarter reorganized a lot of old content, while continuing to add new content. Now it's time to list some new goals for the first quarter of 2025.
- CEC Entertainment Content - I want to add a lot more information related to CEC Entertainment as the wiki currently only has a small amount of CEC Entertainment content. This new content will include more CEC Entertainment related companies and more content on Department 18.
- Around the Store Content - While a lot of new sections and zones were added to the wiki this quarter, there is still tons of protentional content that could be added including more zones and play structures.
- Wiki Policies - While I failed this goal last quarter, I still want to create more wiki policies covering more topics on the wiki. This will ensure that all content on the wiki will be in the best quality it can be in!
Overall, the fourth quarter of 2024 has been a moderate success for the Chuck E. Cheese Wiki, even if we didn't hit our goals. I just wanted to thank all of our contributors again for helping out in adding information to the Chuck E. Cheese Wiki, you guys are amazing at what you do! I also just wanted to shoutout all our discussions posters as you guys help find obscure information and brighten our days!
I would also just like to say that as of today, January 10th, 2025, I've officially been the bureaucrat and admin on this wiki for a year! I am so happy with all the progress we have achieved, but there is so much more to do. I hope you all join me in another successful year of the wiki!
