Hello Chuck E. Cheese Wiki users, I wanted to put this blog post out to review the first 3 months of the CEC Wiki. Also I would just like to thank everyone who has contributed over the past 3 months, your work helps keep this wiki an amazing source and database for Chuck E. Cheese information.
Firstly, I want to review the goals that were set for the first quarter of 2024.
- ShowBiz Pizza Content - ShowBiz Pizza is an important part of CEC History. However, outside a link to the ShowBiz Pizza Wiki there isn't any content related to it. I want to add more ShowBiz content to this Wiki like characters, stages, and showtapes.
- Training Tapes - Some CEC training tapes have made it onto the internet. This content isn't on the CEC Wiki yet even though its an important part of CEC History. I want to add these training tapes and what each tapes talks about.
- Community Channels & Servers - The CEC Wiki doesn't have any place for the community to join and talk to each other. I want to add a discord server for everyone to interact with each other. I also may make a CEC Wiki YouTube channel for wiki news. The YouTube channel probably won't be used very often.
Sadly, none of these previous established goals were completed. ShowBiz Pizza Content and Training Tapes were never finished due to it being too much of a challenge to take on, while Community Channels & Servers weren't added due to me mostly forgetting about them. While these goals were complete, this doesn't mean these things won't be added. I do want to work on these goals, however, I want to focus mostly on Animatronics and Stages for now.
If none of the previous goals were completed, then what was done during the first quarter of 2024? Here's the top 10 things the CEC Wiki has worked on in the past 3 months.
- Animatronics - Animatronics were finally added to the CEC Wiki! Animatronics are a key part of Chuck E. Cheese's so it's great to finally have them. As of this review, 33 animatronics have been finished, which is about 1/3 of all CEC animatronics.
- Stages - 15 news stages were added to the CEC Wiki! This is great because now more different stages are on the wiki.
- Songs/Showtapes - Around 30 new Songs/Showtapes were added to the wiki! This is amazing because the more songs and showtapes are added, the more people will get to listen to these songs and showtapes.
- Puppets - New puppets were added to the wiki, which lets people get to see more puppets from the past and present.
- Locations - New locations were added to the wiki, which lets people learn about specific Chuck E. Cheese's.
- Logos - A lot more logos were added to the CEC Wiki! Logos are a key part of Chuck E. Cheese's, so it's great to finally have them and their variants!
- Characters - Some new characters were added to the wiki. With more characters, people will be able to learn about who these characters are/were, along with what they look like.
- Rip-Offs - More Chuck E. Cheese rip-offs were added. Rip-off Chuck E. Cheese's are good to have because they are very unique and have a lot of history.
- Around the Store - More games and features were added to the wiki.
- Wiki Updates - The front page received a major design update, which added more links and a new logo. Along with this, rules were updated and a help page was created to help users.
These were just the main 10 things worked on by the Chuck E. Cheese Wiki during the first quarter of 2024. This quarter added so much new content, while also updated older content. Now it's time to list some new goals for the second quarter of 2024.
- Chuck E. Cheese Food Products - Chuck E. Cheese has had a lot of food products produced over the years, but it isn't well documented. I want to add pages about them to show off these delicious CEC products from over the years.
- Store Décor - Chuck E. Cheese's always has great and unique décor that is worth being added to this wiki. This includes posters, pictures, carpets, and more.
- Training Tapes & Diagnostics - While I failed at adding this content in the first quarter of 2024, I still really want to add this content. It's very unique and shows a lot of things you might not know. I also decided to add diagnostics since they both are very similar and deserve to be on the wiki.
Overall, the first quarter of 2024 has big a huge success for the Chuck E. Cheese Wiki, even if we didn't reach our goals. I just wanted to thank all of our contributors again for helping out in adding information to the Chuck E. Cheese Wiki, you guys are amazing at what you do! I also just wanted to shoutout our CEC Wiki Content & Thread Monitor Crazy Muzzarino for removing vandalism, helping add new things to the wiki, and more!
