Redding, CA (2167 Hilltop Dr) is a Chuck E. Cheese that opened on February 8th, 1983 as a Pizza Time Theatre with a Balcony Stage. The store is infamous for being one of the worst Chuck E. Cheese locations to exist next to Chico, California.
History[]
The location was the first to have a prototype of Chuck E. Cheese Play-N-Place called Play Place, which would be remove when they got their 1988 remodel in 1992. Tony and Cora Kesser bought the location in March 1991, leading to the store starting to be neglected after some time. In 1997 the store got a 2-Stage (originally from the Syracuse/Mattydale, New York location which closed in November 1996 due to lease disputes.) Throughout the late-1990s and 2000s, the location's condition rapidly declined, eventually leading to it being closed down on January 20th, 2007.
