History

Lowell opened on May 27th, 1993 in the Meadow Brook Center with a 1-Stage. Lowell would receive Phase 2 of the SPT 1990s Remodel Program sometime between 1995-1998.

In August 2012, Lowell received the CEC 2000s Remodel Program and expanded. This expansion relocated the stage and gave the location a major exterior remodel. The remodel would also cause Lowell's address to change from 209 Plain St to 199 Plain St.

Lowell would receive 2.0 on September 17th, 2023, and on November 1, 2023, the store held it's 2.0 grand reopening. The store would receive the Trampoline Zone on April 25, 2024.

Stages

The store opened with a 1-Stage in May 1993. Lowell had the first 1-Stage with a blank brick wall for Pasqually, as earlier 1-Stages featured "Pasqually's Amateur Hour" on the brick wall. The store also featured minor differences in their cityscape backdrops that were changed for later versions, such as the edges of the buildings' far corners being all green, instead of the standard red on most 1-Stages.

In April 2018, The stores would receive stage parts from the Newington, NH location, including Helen and Munch masks, Munch's keyboard front, Pasqually's drum set, and Pasqually's shoes, which would oddly be placed on Jasper.

In October 2021, the stores Chuck, Helen, and Jasper would have their original top halves replaced by Worcester, MA's top halves.

The stage would be removed on September 17th, 2023, making it the last Munch's Make Believe Band stage in New England.
