Family Album was a stage format used at select Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre locations starting with first appearing at the Clawson, Michigan location in 1983, before later being retired during late 1990.
History[]
The Family Album stage was likely created as one of Pizza Time Theatre's last-ditch efforts to boost their rapidly declining sales due to the video game crash of 1983.
The stage was installed between 1983-1984 in six locations in total, with four in Michigan (Clawson, Warren, Okemos, and Ann Arbor), one in Warwick, Rhode Island, and one in Danvers, Massachusetts. The names of each of the characters varied by location, as the names were decided by local contests where people could submit names for the animatronics.[1]
