Danbury, CT (20 Backus Ave) was a Chuck E. Cheese's that opened on March 1, 2010 with a Studio C Beta, 16M. The store is infamous for being one of the worst Chuck E. Cheese locations to exist. It would close permanently on August 24, 2013.
The space the Chuck E. Cheese's was in is now currently divided between a BevMax liquor store and a Sport Clips.
History[]
Danbury's Chuck E. Cheese opened on March 1, 2010 with a Studio C Beta stage. This location also had the 2005 remodel, which had included blue and red awnings on the exterior, "Phase 4" decor, and the stage itself. However, by 2012, things started to get bad. The games suddenly broke down, employees neglected the store, the place was dirty, and their stage show was in horrible condition. In Winter 2013, the show was completely aired down and remained like that for the rest of Danbury's history. On August 24, 2013, the location ceased operations without warning. There are so many reasons this location closed, all mentioned above. After closure, their bot was sent to the Wilmington, North Carolina store. It was never installed, and was destroyed after the 2020 closure, from the 3-Stage. As for Danbury, it remained vacant for a while until BevMax and Sport Clips moved in, both of which are still on the space.
Trivia[]
- Before becoming Chuck E. Cheese's, Boston Billiard Club had occupied the space until 2009.
