Charlotte, NC (7701 Pineville-Matthews Rd) was a ShowBiz Pizza Place which opened with The Rock-afire Explosion on October 20, 1982, which is now currently operating to this day as a Chuck E. Cheese's. It was the first ShowBiz Pizza to open in the state of North Carolina, and the second to open in the Carolinas, right after Charleston, SC. This location has the last 3-Stage in the state, as well as being the last 3-Stage in existence, after Billings, MT was removed for 2.0 on July 28, 2024. In May of 2024, Pineville was chosen as one of six Chuck E. Cheese locations to be designated as a CEC Legacy Location, receiving a variant of the CEC 2018 2.0 Remodel Program in June of that year. On July 24, 2024 (2 days before the grand reopening), Pineville would receive curtains from the Tallahassee Florida location which had received 2.0 a couple of months back. (Although due to technical issues the curtains didn't start working regularly until February 14, 2025)
