The Chuck E. Cheese Wiki's Blocking Policy is an official wiki policy applied to all users when it comes to facing punishment for breaking the wiki's rules. Users may be temporarily indefinitely blocked while an admin decides how the offender should be punished.
Warnings
Warnings are given to users if they have made a small violation of the rules, or were editing in "good faith". Warning messages can vary, but most will include why the user is receiving the warning and why they shouldn't do it again. Cases of users receiving warnings include:
- Inserting unnecessary red links
- Small amounts of plagiarizing
- Rearranging information that didn't need to be rearranged
- Adding more details to information that didn't need it
- Adding images that weren't properly cropped
- Adding non-CEC/SB content
- Causing arguments with other users
- False reporting in good faith
Users can face blocking for rule violations that should be a warning if they make multiple small rule violations, ignore their warning and continue to violate, or make a severe small violation.
Blocking
Blocking happens when users have committed a violation that causes them to be prevented to edit for a set amount of time. Blocking time can vary depending on what rule was broken up until a permanent ban from the wiki. Listed below is each rule break and the average ban time:
Adding inappropriate language, graphic content, and NSFW (Ban Time: Indefinite)
If you add inappropriate language, graphic content, or NSFW content you will immediately be banned from the wiki indefinitely. You will get no second chance if you violate this rule.
Adding any form of fan content onto pages (Ban Time: 1 Day - 2 Weeks)
Users are not allowed to add fan content onto pages as pages are meant to be only for official content. Depending on how much fan content you add, your ban could vary from 1 day to 2 weeks. If any of this fan content breaks the inappropriate content rule, then you will be banned indefinitely.
Adding political content (Ban Time: 2 Weeks - Indefinite)
Users are not allowed to add political content onto the Chuck E. Cheese Wiki as political content can be offensive to a lot of users. Depending on how much political content you add, your ban could vary from 2 weeks up to an indefinite ban. If any of this political content breaks the inappropriate content rule, then you will be banned indefinitely.
Plagiarism (Ban Time: 3 Days - 1 Month)
Plagiarism is not allowed on the wiki and fully-plagiarized pages will be taken down. The more plagiarized information you add the more time you will banned for up to 1 month.
Harassment (Ban Time: Indefinite)
If you harass any user on the wiki for any reason, you will be banned from the wiki indefinitely. You will get no second chance if you violate this rule.
Adding Non-CEC content (Ban Time: 1 Day - 1 Week)
The Chuck E. Cheese Wiki is meant for CEC/SB content only. The more non-CEC content you add the longer you will be banned for up to 1 week. If any of this non-CEC content breaks the inappropriate content rule, then you will be banned indefinitely.
Spam/Inserting gibberish (Ban Time: 1 Week - 3 Months)
If you insert gibberish or spam information on pages you will be banned. Depending on how much spam/gibberish you add, your ban could vary from 1 week to 3 months.
Inserting false information (Ban Time 1 Day - 1 Year)
Inserting false information is not allowed on the wiki as it creates confusion for readers. You can be banned from 1 day up till 1 year for adding false information onto the wiki.
Creating blank/unnecessary pages (Ban Time: 2 Hours - 3 Days)
If you create blank pages or pages that aren't needed then you will be banned. The more pages you make the more ban time you get up till 3 days.
Blanking pages (Ban Time: 1 Month - Indefinite)
Blanking pages is a serious rule violation as it removes a lot of valuable information off the wiki. For every page you blank you will receive 1 month ban time. If you blank more than 5 pages you will be banned indefinitely.
Adding random links/unneeded red links (Ban Time: 2 Hours - 1 Day)
Users are only meant to add links when it makes sense to include or to tell other users that a page is needed. The more links added the more ban time you receive up to a day.
Creating random categories (Ban Time: 2 Hours)
Creating random categories can make users confused as to which category does certain pages fall under. You will receive a ban time of 2 hours if you create random categories.
False reporting (Ban Time: 1 Week - Indefinite)
Users are meant to report users when they have violated a rule. If a user reported another user for something that doesn't warrant a ban then the false reporter could be banned from 1 week up to an indefinite ban.
Vandalism (Ban Time: 2 Weeks - Indefinite)
If a user intentionally vandalizes a wiki page then they will be banned. The more vandalism a user causes the more ban time they get up to a permanent ban from the wiki.
Repeat Offenders
Repeat offenders will receive harsher punishments than first time rule breakers as they have already broken rules in the past. Repeat offenders can be indefinitely banned for any rule violation if they continue to break that rule after already being banned for it multiple times.
Generally, a repeat offender can be permanently banned for a non-indefinite rule violation if they break it 3 times or more while being banned for the violation at least 2 times.
