Banjo Billy's Pizza was an independently owned family entertainment center in Houston, Texas.

History[]

It opened in 1994 in Houston, Texas, in the ''Federal East Plaza'' mall. The place, albeit not very big like a Chuck E. Cheese's, was quite successful, so much so that in 1995 two television commercials were filmed (one in English and the other in Spanish). Many believe that the show used the songs from ''RockFire Explosion'' when in fact they used the original versions of the songs. Another lie about this place is many believe that the characters were named after members of Rock-A Fire, however this has been denied by the owner himself and the person who spread this rumor. The place closed permanently in 1998, the robots were supposed to be sold to a person who would open a similar restaurant in Arkansas but it never happened.

Design[]

The Pizza Time Theatre Characters used on a yellow “House” Stage were changed into 5 new characters. Mr. Munch turned into Cole the Bull, Helen Henny turned into Johnny B. Rooster, Jasper T. Jowls turned into Banjo Billy, Chuck E. Cheese turned into Rose the Bunny, and Pasqually turned into Paul the Elephant.

Trivia[]

  • Dolli Dimples' mask was used for Cole the Bull, as opposed to Munch's.
  • Banjo Billy looked very similar to the Australian version of Jasper T. Jowls at Charlie Cheese's Pizza Playhouse.
  • Some of the songs from their showtape included "Hot Hot Hot", "Octopus' Garden", "Walking on Sunshine", and "Achy Breaky Heart".
